Daniel Birdsong is the owner and therapist at Mountain Valley Counseling, LLC. He is also an assistant professor of counseling and the program coordinator at the University of Montevallo (UM). He earned a Master of Education degree in counseling from UM, an Educational Specialist degree in counseling from Jacksonville State University, and a Doctor of Philosophy degree in counselor education and supervision from the University of Holy Cross. Previously, he served as an elementary school counselor in Alabaster City Schools and therapist at Warrior Wellness Group, LLC. He is a Certified School Counselor, Licensed Professional Counselor Supervisor, Marriage and Family Therapy Associate, Approved Clinical Supervisor, National Certified Counselor, National Certified School Counselor, and Registered Play Therapist. In addition to providing counseling at Mountain Valley and serving at the UM, Daniel provides ALC supervision in Shelby County, AL. He specializes in providing school counseling supervision.
